Brand compliance checks for agencies: catch slips before they go out Sayantan Ghosh, Tech Lead, Synup Hi, my name is Sayantan and I work with the engineering team here at Synup. And today I'm going to be demoing a new feature called Content checks. Agencies manage dozens of brands, manage their posts, listings and whatnot. And content is a key factor over here. And each client has their own guidelines, be it tone, be it words to avoid, call it whatnot. A slip in a particular content can lead to a problem with the client. Content checks feature solves this exact problem. If we come to the settings page and come to the Content checks tab over here, we'll see a page where we can add guidelines for all the content that we post across this platform. Be it in the post, be it listing updates, be it review responses, you call it. Let's start by creating a new guideline. In the create guideline page, we'll see a section to add the name of the guideline, the guideline itself, and what it Applies to and what can be configured. Let's start by adding a name. Let's say that we do not want to use the word cheap in any of our content. So we'll type something like this. We'll give a random name over here. As you can see, I just simply wrote, do not use the word cheap. And that's it. Our platform will manage that. In the Applies to section, I've only selected posts for now because I want this guideline to only apply for posts and nothing else. There is a Can be sent anyway toggle over here, which means that while actually drafting that post, if the user or our Sydekick fails that guideline, it can still go ahead and post the content. By default, it is turned off because we want the guidelines to actually take effect. So we'll leave it as it is and we'll simply save the guideline. As you can see the guideline got saved and it shows up over here. We'll come back to this page later on. Now, we come to the create post page. Here we will have to add a post name like usual. So, let's say we want to create a post for holiday season. We'll simply write holiday season over here. The name does not matter, it is just for your identification later on. For the content, let's put some normal content for now, let's say a single sentence. So we'll write something like this. As you can see, this is a perfectly normal content and it met all the guidelines. But the moment we add the word cheap over here, it will be flagged. Let's try that out. As you can see, the guideline was not met. If I click on it, it will show me exactly which guideline failed. And not just that, we are even blocked from publishing right now. So, if I click here, we'll again get the same details. Now let's come back and create a new guideline. This time I'm saying that don't be impolite. I'm just basically saying whatever you post, you should not be impolite. And in the Applies to section I'll select review replies as well this time. I'll leave everything else as it is and I'll save the guideline. The new guideline is now showing over here. Now, we come to the reviews page of a particular location. What we want to do here is respond to this particular review which does not have any text but has a rating. Let's say just for the sake of it I will respond very negatively to this. As you can see I just wrote, this is a very bad customer which is very impolite and our content guidelines actually flagged it. If I click on it, it is saying that don't be impolite as it does not follow the guideline and obviously we won't be able to send it because we did not turn on that toggle while we were creating that guideline. Now let's create one final content check over here. This time I am saying that whenever we are drafting anything, we should not be revealing any of our personal information. This time I will be selecting listing updates. And I will also show you how this toggle works so I'll switch it on and I'll save the guideline. The new content check got created and as you can see Can be sent anyway column shows this as enabled. Now, let's try to update the description of a particular location that we have. In this particular description, for the sake of checking, I will just try to reveal my social security number for example. The moment I focus out from this field, I see that the guideline has not been met and it is saying that don't reveal personal information. So the correct guideline got met. But this time, do you notice this? We are still able to save it anyway. It is saying that Save to Master anyway, which means that our toggle which we enabled, which was saying that Can be sent anyway, is actually working. I just came back to our Content checks page and I just wanted to show you how this page actually looks. We have some few tabs over here, which is basically filtering what types of content you are checking and each of these columns are fairly self-explanatory. We can even turn off a particular content check if we want to without deleting it. So, if we want a particular content check to not work for some time we can do that and we can obviously toggle the Can be sent anyway on or off. If we click on the three dots we can obviously edit the guideline and we can remove the guideline and below we are showing some of the publisher requirements for our posts which our platform actually supports. These are some of the things that we cannot edit right now because these are actually the requirements from the publishers. This was all about Content checks. Thank you for watching.
