Synup Product Updates October 2026: What's New and Why It Matters Roshan Agarkar, Synup Hi everyone! Welcome to our October product roundup. I'm Roshan Agarkar. I'm the VP of Product and Customer Success at Synup. I'm here to talk about all exciting product updates that we've had this month. Our goal is to remove as much unnecessary manual work as possible. Rather than taking you through what we did every single week, I'm going to group these updates by product areas. When we introduced Sydekick, our vision was never to build just another chatbot. There are plenty of tools that can answer questions and generate content for you. What we wanted to build was an AI agent that understands your business, knows the tools available to it and helps you actually get things done. Suddenly what started as a simple idea becomes a project involving multiple tools and multiple people. With campaign plans, we are trying to simplify that entire process. You can now go inside Sydekick. Describe the campaign you want to run in simple plain English. Ask it to help you put together a simple structured plan. Help me plan a two-week holiday promotion. For a local coffee shop, I want to introduce a new seasonal drink, promote it on social media, and send reminders before the promotion ends. Sydekick can also take that brief and organize it into campaigns with goals, individual steps, timing and approval points. You can review the proposed plan, make changes and confirm the work before it actually launches. Imagine you are managing marketing for 20-30 different businesses. Every client has their own brand guideline. With content checks, you can define those guidelines directly within Synup and when your team is preparing support is preparing supported social posts or responding to reviews or updating listings content they can check the text against those instructions let's take an example let's say we add a rule that says always refer to our business as Green Valley Dental never just Green Valley now someone prepares content that doesn't follow that rule content checks can identify that issue before the content is sent or even saved. If you're using Sydekick to perform repeatable workflows, you may also want the output to follow a consistent format. You can now attach a supported HTML report template to your custom playbook. You can also provide other reference files or any other additional context. You know what you want to do but you don't know where exactly that setting lies, where it is housed within the product. With our new Show Me capability, supported Sydekick responses can guide you to the relevant area inside the product. Instead of only explaining where something is, Sydekick can highlight the relevant area on the screen. You still control the changes you make. The guidance simply makes the navigation easier. We've also improved how Sydekick works within the client portals. Individual client portal users now have their own conversations with answers scoped to the locations they are permitted to access. That's particularly important for agencies where they are giving restricted access to their end clients. You want the clients to be able to use AI to understand their own business and marketing activity while maintaining the right boundaries. You can now create a social media post and prepare it for multiple clients in one workflow. Imagine you are an agency managing social media for 50 different local businesses. You want to publish a general holiday greeting, an awareness day post, or a shared campaign message across several of those clients. Now, when you're creating a post, you can use the add clients option to select the client and social profiles that you want to include. You prepare the shared caption, review the destination, check the preview, continue through the publishing workflow. Scheduling content sounds straightforward until you're managing multiple accounts, different time zones, • Waiting for approvals and changing calendars. Smart scheduling helps you manage that more easily than ever. You can define scheduling, boundaries and let eligible posts adjust within those rules using the account's local time zone. You are still in control. Posts that are waiting for approval are too close to their publishing time, aren't automatically moved. And if there isn't a suitable time available, Synup keeps the existing schedule and flags the issue to bring it to the user's attention. You can also turn Smart Scheduling off when you want to maintain fixed posting schedules. One thing I want to clarify is that Smart Scheduling follows the scheduling rules you have configured. It isn't claiming to predict the perfect engagement time. We made significant changes, improvements to publishing series. With series, you can organize the post into a sequence, adapt the content for different networks, and review the spacing and timing before scheduling. You can also import a prepared series using any supported markdown files or JSON files. What I particularly like is that the workflow checks the series before scheduling so you can identify issues before part of the sequence goes out. With media library improvements, your team can upload multiple images, monitor upload progress and reuse supported images when preparing local and social posts. We've also introduced better video cover controls. For supported social destinations, you can choose a cover image from an upload, the media library or a frame within the video itself. Not every conversation about your business happens on your social media pages. With listening, you can track selected brands, competitors or topics across supported public sources. For example, imagine you are a local fitness studio. Maybe people are asking about a beginner-friendly class. That could be a great topic for your next social post. We've also expanded social inbox support for LinkedIn business pages, conversations, including supported comments, replies, and mentions. We have expanded content preparation for Reddit, Medium, and Substack. Reddit and Substack use posting kits that help you complete publishing on those platforms. Medium supports direct publishing through certain legacy token connections with a handoff for those other connection types. With publisher sets you can now define reusable group of directories. You could create a set called essential listings and include the directories covered by that particular package. When another client purchases the same package you can assign the existing rather than rebuilding the package from scratch assign the existing package existing publisher set that you have already created to this new client. We've also expanded publisher exclusion handling for supported Google and Facebook bulk listings operations, photo action and for related API and MCP calls. It's really the ability to reuse the agency level Google and Facebook listings connections. If your agency already has an authorized account connected, you can select that connection when assigning an existing listing to client's location. You don't need to repeat the sign-in process for that location. You still select the correct listing for each location so that it isn't a bulk assignment feature. As AI powered search becomes more and more important, businesses increasingly want to understand how they are represented across various LLMs, across various AI answering engines. One part of that is identifying missing citations and the directory coverage. But simply identifying a problem isn't enough you need to know what to do about it we've improved the connection between AI visibility and listings when Synup identifies a missing citation directory you can follow that finding into the relevant area of Premium Listings the client and the location context are preserved and the directory filter helps you focus on the issue narrow it down to the issue so instead of just seeing that a directory is missing you have more direct path towards investigating and addressing it. That's an important part of our product philosophy. We want insights to lead actions. Sometimes the information you save for a business is already correct but you want to request a fresh submission to eligible publishers. Now from the business's published view you can request a fresh submission using the save profile information. Of course publisher eligibility opt-outs and publishing checks still apply. A cute submission doesn't automatically mean a listing is life but this gives you a more direct way to request another submission without making any unnecessary edits. One of the things we hear consistently from our agencies is that managing client work can be just as challenging as delivering the marketing services themselves. One of the biggest improvements this month is tasks and approvals where you can manage tasks with ownership, subtasks, comments and attachments in a more connected way. Tasks can be assigned to eligible internal team members or they can be assigned to external client users as well on the client portal. Your team can also use internal comments that remain private from the client. We've introduced more granular notification controls. Not every person needs to receive every update if you're managing a multi-location business. You might have the regional manager responsible for one group of locations and another. You can choose the notifications that you would want to be sent out to every single user and also group them by user base. That's pretty much everything for October Synup product roundup. Stay tuned for more next month and thank you very much for listening.
