By far, Google owns the largest share of web searches. Over 90 percent of users conduct internet searches through Google. Creating and optimizing a Google Business Profile helps attract consumers looking for your service offerings. After the initial setup of a Google Business Profile, you can edit your listing anytime. One of the most important steps of editing a profile is to include details about your company’s services.

Step 1

Sign in to the Google account that manages your business, then search for your business name on Google (or open your profile in the Google Maps app). If you manage several locations, pick the one you want to edit.

Step 2

Click Edit profile, then open the Services section.

Step 3

Choose Add More Services. You’ll need to go to the Add More Services editor to create a brand-new service option. To help streamline the process, Google provides a list of suggestions based on your business category. For instance, landscaping companies may see service options such as landscape lighting, design, edging, and lawn care. You can create a custom field if the desired service doesn’t come up automatically. Services can’t include any links or pricing information.

Step 4

Include details about the services. For instance, if you’re a hair salon, you could expand the menu to include the types of cuts and upgrade options available instead of choosing only haircuts as a service offering. Save any changes before exiting the menu.

Step 5

Edit your services regularly. Reopen the Services section under Edit profile, choose a current service, and update it or remove it if it is no longer offered.

Step 6

Organize services into categories. While editing any new or existing service, you can assign a category to organize listings better. For instance, hair salons may have categories for men, women, and children. Remember to save all progress before exiting the Google Business Profile.

Put these steps on autopilot
