Synup by Mid-2025: A More Connected Agency Workspace

By mid-2025, Synup's public product experience was increasingly centered on helping agencies understand client health, give clients controlled access, and present that work under their own brand. This retrospective revisits four of those capabilities through preserved historical product material and the Synup interface available today.

See client operations across the agency portfolio

Synup's public product experience brought client information, performance context, and account signals into a broader agency portfolio workflow.

By mid-2025, the documented agency experience centered on agency-wide client visibility, with portfolio KPIs and health or status concepts alongside Listings, Reviews, ratings, and location context. Search, filtering, and view controls supported the broader portfolio workflow. Today's interface is shown to illustrate that continuing goal, not to suggest that its exact table or data model existed unchanged in 2025.

Spot client risk and retention signals earlier

Client-health and risk concepts helped agencies identify accounts that might need attention and organize more proactive retention work.

Public product material from this period described risk visibility informed by engagement and marketing-performance signals. The experience was intended to help account teams distinguish different levels of client risk and focus attention where it could matter most. The interface and scoring have evolved, so today's health view should not be read as the same calculation or workflow.

Give clients a branded self-service portal

Synup's public product material described controlled client access within an agency-branded experience.

By mid-2025, the client-portal concept was represented as a way for agencies to give clients controlled access and visibility into supported agency-managed work. It brought the client-facing relationship into a branded Synup experience without implying that every client could manage every product or that today's portal behaves identically.

Extend agency branding across client-facing surfaces

Agency-controlled identity could carry across a broader set of client-facing Synup experiences.

Public product material from the period represented controls for logos, favicons, colors, branded domains, portal presentation, and branded communications. Today's settings also show portal, scan-tool, and invite-email context, but the current arrangement is illustrative and should not be read as proof that every setting or surface existed identically in 2025.

A more connected agency experience

By mid-2025, these client-operations, retention, portal, and branding workflows were helping define a more connected agency experience inside Synup. The interfaces and implementation have continued to evolve, so this retrospective focuses on the documented purpose of each capability rather than claiming exact feature parity over time.
